Ajuma Nasenyana, from Lodwar in northern Kenya, is widely regarded as the first Kenyan model to achieve sustained international success. Represented out of Paris, she walked as a lead for Vivienne Westwood and appeared for Ungaro, Issey Miyake and Victoria’s Secret.
Beyond the runway she founded City Models Africa, one of the continent’s leading agencies, and the Ajuma Foundation, which supports young people in rural Kenya.
