Wilfred Ndidi’s future has been thrown into fresh doubt after Saudi Pro League club Al-Ittihad moved to prise the Nigeria international away from Beşiktaş.
According to Turkish outlet Milliyet, the Saudi outfit have already put forward a formal offer for the midfielder.
The reported bid is worth €10.5 million and could climb to €12.5 million once performance-related bonuses are factored in.
Beşiktaş are said to be weighing up the proposal and are yet to reach a final decision on whether to cash in on the Super Eagles man.
The Black Eagles are expected to seek the input of newly appointed head coach Vincenzo Italiano before responding to the approach.
How Italiano views Ndidi within his blueprint for the new campaign is likely to prove decisive in determining whether the 28-year-old stays or moves on.
Ndidi made the switch to Beşiktaş from Leicester City last summer and hit the ground running, scoring twice and laying on one assist in 31 Turkish Super Lig outings during his debut season in Istanbul.
