
Ondo State Police spokesperson Tee-Leo Ikoro said that the people who got injured were still receiving treatment at the hospital.
ASP Ikoro explained that one driver was among the four people who died in the incident, while the second driver ran away because of fear that people might beat him to death.
Mr Ikoro added that the woman and her son were among those who were killed in the crash.
It was gathered that a tanker conveying diesel had a brake failure and crashed into a truck, which eventually crushed the commercial motorcyclists.
The spokesman for the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Ondo, Omotola Ogungbawo, confirmed four deaths from the incident. The bodies of the deceased persons have been deposited in a morgue.
The incident took place on Wednesday, August 30, 2020 when the brakes of two trucks collided on top.
