Eko Disco, TCN trade blame as Lagos, Ogun face blackout

Eko Electricity Distribution Company and the Transmission Company of Nigeria are trading blame over a drop in power supply to parts of Lagos and Ogun.

In a statement on X, Eko Disco blamed grid constraints and low generation, saying its allocation fell from 486 megawatts to 347MW.

The disco said the shortfall had hit supply to southern Lagos and the Agbara industrial area in Ogun.

It added that, to share the reduced supply fairly, power to some feeders — including Band A — had been temporarily adjusted.
