Kogi: Gunmen demand N20m ransom per abducted corps member

Gunmen who abducted National Youth Service Corps members in Kogi State are reportedly demanding N20 million ransom for each victim still in captivity.

The corps members were among 15 travelling from Bayelsa to Abuja after their orientation programme when they were seized along the Aloma-Egane Expressway in Ofu LGA.

A relative of one victim said the kidnappers had contacted families with the ransom demand.

Police earlier confirmed the abduction and said 11 of those seized, including two drivers, had been rescued, with efforts continuing to free the rest.
