A native of Cross River State, Omotu Bissong began modelling as a child and rose to national prominence when she was crowned Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria in 2003, the first winner from the South-South region.
That year she represented Nigeria at both the Miss World and Miss Universe pageants, cementing her status as one of the country’s leading beauty queens of the era.
She later transitioned into acting, becoming widely known for her role as Funke Lawal in the television series Desperate Housewives Africa.
