Amapakabo eyes winning start as Abia Warriors host Kun Khalifat

Abia Warriors technical adviser Imama Amapakabo says his side is ready for the new NPFL season as they prepare to host Kun Khalifat FC.

The Umuahia club opens its 2026/27 campaign at the Enyimba International Stadium in Aba on Sunday.

Amapakabo, a former Super Eagles assistant coach, stressed the importance of starting well. “It’s always important to start on a good footing,” he told the club’s website.

Abia Warriors finished a disappointing seventh last season.
