Don’t trust INEC technology, monitor collation – Aisha Yesufu

Activist Aisha Yesufu has warned that Nigerians should not place their trust in the technology deployed by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), urging citizens to closely track vote counting and the movement of results at every stage.

In a statement posted on X, Yesufu called on voters to treat the entire exercise as manual and to pay attention from the polling units all the way to the final collation in Abuja.

“The technology of INEC cannot be trusted. We will consider everything manual and analogue,” she said.

She advised Nigerians to watch closely as votes are counted and results recorded at polling units, and to follow result sheets as they move through ward, local government and state collation centres.

Yesufu added that neither electoral officials nor result sheets should be allowed out of the sight of observers throughout the process.
