Augustine Eguavoen’s appointment as interim coach of the Super Falcons has drawn mixed reactions from Nigerian football fans.
The former Super Eagles boss will lead the team for their 2028 Olympic Games qualifiers against Comoros in October, assisted by Christopher Danjuma, Olatunji Baruwa and Ayisat Yusuf.
While some welcomed his experience, others questioned why a woman was not appointed to lead the women’s team and criticised the Nigeria Football Federation, arguing that the country keeps “recycling” the same figures across roles.
