Real Madrid manager José Mourinho has praised Trent Alexander-Arnold and Fede Valverde after his side’s 2-1 Champions League win over Inter Milan.

Goals from Kylian Mbappé and Valverde sealed the victory at the Santiago Bernabéu. Mourinho said both players worked very well against the runs of Inter’s midfielders and praised Alexander-Arnold’s tactical discipline.

He noted the England full-back had a few giveaways adjusting to a different role, but was pleased overall. Madrid host Rayo Vallecano next in LaLiga.
