Social media critic Martins Vincent Otse, known as VeryDarkMan, says singer Burna Boy warned him that the very Nigerians he fights for could one day turn against him.
Speaking about his activism and its pressures, he said Burna Boy told him he had faced similar treatment and that fighting for people could become exhausting.
“These people, they will put a knife in your neck. Fighting for Nigerians is tiring,” VeryDarkMan quoted the singer as saying.
He added that Burna Boy prayed for him after seeing the backlash he was facing despite his efforts.
