Afrobeats star Ayra Starr has lifted the lid on her highly anticipated third studio album, ‘Starr Girl,’ revealing its cover art and confirming a new release date of August 14, 2026.
The project was originally expected in July before being pushed back, and it follows her acclaimed sophomore record ‘The Year I Turned 21’. The album cover leans into her Nigerian heritage, featuring the singer in a striking purple gele.
‘Starr Girl’ has been building anticipation through a run of singles, including the lead track ‘Who’s Dat Girl’ with Rema, ‘Gimme Dat’ featuring Wizkid, and ‘Where Do We Go,’ released in March. The album is expected to move across Afrobeats, R&B, alternative R&B and dancehall.
Details on the full tracklist and guest features remain under wraps, with the Mavin Records star keeping much of the production information deliberately hidden ahead of release.
The rollout continues a strong stretch for Ayra Starr, who has grown into one of Afrobeats’ most visible global exports through festival appearances and high-profile television performances.
