Public affairs analyst Mustapha Mohammed has urged House Downstream Committee chairman Ikenga Ugochinyere to allow NNPCL to fix the Port Harcourt and other state refineries.
Ugochinyere had vowed to use parliamentary powers to demand answers from NNPCL’s leadership over the refineries’ rehabilitation.
Mohammed asked the lawmaker to stop politicising the process, saying NNPCL was implementing a deliberate government policy without breaching any law.
He argued that accusing NNPCL of withholding information was a tactic to create the impression that the government was doing nothing.
