US missiles struck Iran’s Larak Island on Sunday, the latest American attack in a war that has stretched beyond six months.
Citing US sources, Al Jazeera reported that the strike hit IRGC rocket launchers, which the sources claimed were preparing to lay mines in the Strait of Hormuz — a claim Iran denies.
There was no official confirmation from CENTCOM, but the IRGC said the attack killed several fighters and civilians.
IRGC spokesperson Sardar Mohebi accused the US of a “strategic and fatal mistake” that would draw economic and military consequences.
