Monza Agree Deal With Inter Milan for Nigeria's Ebenezer Akinsamiro

Monza have reached an agreement with Serie A champions Inter Milan to sign Nigerian midfielder Ebenezer Akinsamiro on a permanent basis.

Reports put the fee at €7.5 million, with Inter also securing a 10 percent sell-on clause on any future move. The deal does not include a buy-back option, meaning the Nerazzurri are parting ways permanently with their academy product.

Akinsamiro had also drawn interest from Bologna in Serie A as well as Bundesliga pair Werder Bremen and Borussia Monchengladbach, but Monza won the chase for his signature.

Inter signed the 21-year-old from NPFL side Remo Stars in January 2023. He made just one Serie A appearance during the club’s title-winning campaign before loan spells at Sampdoria, where he scored once in 35 league games, and Pisa, where he registered an assist in 25 outings.

The defensive midfielder, who featured for the Super Eagles at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, will now look to establish himself as a Serie A regular at Monza.
