Police have arrested a 22-year-old man, identified only as Daniel, over the alleged drugging and defilement of a 15-year-old girl in Ogun State.
Force spokesperson Ani Iniedu said in a Sunday statement that the suspect allegedly gave the teenager a malt drink laced with an unknown substance, after which she lost consciousness.
He was then accused of having unlawful sexual intercourse with her without consent.
The victim was taken to a hospital in Asero for examination, while the suspect was taken into custody.
