Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara met with FCT Minister Nyesom Wike on Sunday at Wike’s Port Harcourt residence, in the latest sign of realigning politics in the state.
The minister’s media aide, Lere Olayinka, said Fubara — accompanied by Sam Sam Jaja — was received by the APC governorship candidate, Kingsley Chinda, with Senator Magnus Abe also present.
Fubara reconciled with Wike in May after stepping down from the governorship race, clearing the way for the minister’s preferred candidate.
The governor has since urged his supporters to back the APC candidates in the governorship and presidential elections.
